2023 Four Continents Figure Skating at the Broadmoor World Arena (2023 February 7–12)

The 2023 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships is scheduled to take place at the Broadmoor World Arena from February 7–12, 2023, in Colorado Springs, United States of America. Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs, and ice dance. Nations from non-European countries could send 3 entries at most for every discipline Skaters belonging to a non-European member nation of the ISU can participate in the 2023 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships. The event is one of the four annual figure skating competitions designated “ISU Championships.”

The Arctic Winter Games celebrates culture and creates in the participants an awareness of cultural similarities and dissimilarities. Cultural exchange and social interaction are important parts of the Games. Each participating contingent contributes with performances in dance, song, music, plays or art. These cultural events reflect the traditional as well as the modern cultures of the Arctic.

Hodgson Trophy:

At each Arctic Winter Games, the AWG International Committee presents the Hodgson Trophy to the contingent whose athletes best exemplify the ideals of fair play and team spirit. Team members also receive a distinctive pin in recognition of their accomplishment.

Some changes were announced for this year’s event:

Digital roadbooks for all participants, including the bikes
Time bonuses for bikes opening the stage
“Mirror routes” – in order to separate the routes some stages will be split into “A and B routes”, which feature different waypoints, assigned randomly
No neutralizations for T1 and T2 categories – the stage will not have breaks in the middle
Stage start procedure – the first truck to leave will be from 45th place. No reclassification for top 40 drivers
Dakar Classic will follow dedicated route with 13 stages, including 2 marathons. New average speed group for less powerful vehicles
Introduction of “synthetic and biofuels”, with expectation that elite drivers will compete in low emission prototypes by 2026
